Publishing is straight forward all you need is the text. From my page you should be able to see my titles are available worldwide.
A suggestion I have, maybe something someone else in your family is interested in, is to take something that is popular in Korea and translate it into English. But you have to be careful of copyright law.
There is a wonderful App called "Kindle Create." Once you have an e-document, Kindle Create will turn it into an e-book that can be read on any device. I have proof read for others, so let me know if you would like that too.
